Our 2008 Performers

Alyx Lynham
Alyx is a 13 Geneva Jr. High student who loves to sing, dance and act. She has entertained throughout her years at local fairs, festivals and in community theater shows at the Arts Center, Rabbit Run and Erie Playhouse. Alyx also performed with the 2006-2007 Disney Pop Squad, “The Fabulous Five.”

Spotlight Singers
The Spotlight Singers is the Arts Center’s children’s choir for ages 7-14 under the direction of Deborah Inks. They perform concerts at the Arts Center several times each year and are available for outside venues.

Dennis Ford
Dennis has been playing in bands since the age of 12 and has played in “Soul Expressions,” “Good Question” and “Qiana.”He has performed with top entertainers including Tommy James and the Shondells, Chubby Checker and more. Dennis sings songs from the 1950’s to the present.

Bar-Trek
"Bar-Trek" is the quirky quartet who's members’ playing and performing experience literally spans dozens of decades. Though they've only been together since October of 2007, this quartet has managed to assemble a tantalizingly diverse collection of music. Each member brings a peculiar musical preference to the band. Selections from artists including the likes of Johnny Cash, Wreckless Eric, The Ramones, Tom Waits, Booker T, and many more round out a typical set.

Martin Crombie
Martin is a native of Ashtabula and has been a practicing dentist for 19 years at the Healthy Smile Center. Picking up the guitar in high school, music became a steady hobby that expanded into open mic and other local venue performances. Martin plays a variety of music including acoustic singer/songwriters from the 60’s through today together with a mix of acoustic rock and blues.

Bev Newbold
Bev was raised on Southern gospel and traditional music and as a child studied classical piano and voice. Bev’s has a rich expressive voice, a unique musical style and an outgoing personality that has made her a favorite with audiences throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

Bill Keener
Native Ohioan Bill Keener has been entertaining folks here and in Florida since 1975. His musical styles include folk, easy listening, Irish and standards. He has played for all ages including doing children’s programs as well as performances for seniors in health care facilities.

Ron Cramer
A long time Jefferson resident, Ron was an elementary school teacher for many years. He has directed high school shows and has been a part of the Falcon Follies.. Ron has played at a number of festivals and wineries. He describes his style as country/folk/oldies/obscure. “I play any song I like and this is the only criteria for song selection!”
