2928 West 13th St. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 phone: 440-964-3396 Search This Site: Dancers and Extras Needed for Nutcracker 2002: Posted: Monday, September 16, 2002 Even though the leaves are just beginning to turn on the trees outside, indoors here at the Arts Center we have already begun thinking about the holidays, as rehearsals for the annual holiday classic, "The Nutcracker" have already gotten underway. "The Nutcracker" will kick off the holiday season with performances December 6-8, 13-15 and 19-22. All students enrolled in the school at Ballet Level I and up are welcomed to perform in the show. Since "The Nutcracker" is a full-scale production, many children, teenagers and adults are utilized during the show. In addition, we will need several children and adults to fill the roles of partygoers in the beginning scene of the ballet. These roles do not require dance experience, nor do the actors need to be students at the Arts Center. Being a guest at the Stahlbaum Holiday Party is a great chance for those who have seen the ballet before to get "behind the scenes" and experience this holiday classic from a different angle. It is also a great opportunity for families to get in onto the holiday spirit together by joining the cast as a group!
