Women's Service League Awards Scholarships:

Women’s Service League of Ashtabula County, Inc., has awarded scholarships to the following 2003 high school graduates and Arts Center participants.
Missy Sorohan - Sts. John and Paul High School
Missy has been active in dance and theater at the AAC for many years. Some of the productions she has been seen in include “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” “Footloose,” and “Annie.” She will attend the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.
Ian Jones - Edgewood Senior High School
Ian began taking classes at the Arts Center in the 4th grade. While he has appeared onstage in several theater productions, Ian’s real passion is behind the scenes. This past winter he premiered his first movie, entitled “Crazy Ray,” at the AAC. Ian will study filmmaking at Bard College in NY.
Alaina Venditti - Lakeside High School
A voice student of Mary Redmond, Alaina has also been seen on stage in such productions as “Kiss Me Kate,” “West Side Story,” and “Footloose.” She will attend Kent State University Ashtabula Campus.
Caitlin Dubsky - Geneva High School
The daughter of AAC Dance Coordinator Shelagh Dubsky, Caitlin has been a fixture at the Arts Center for several years. She has been featured in principle roles in both The Nutcracker and Ballet Theatre Ashtabula’s Spring Dance Show. Caitlin was also most recently seen as Maria in this summer’s “West Side Story.” She will study musical theater at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA.
