Theatre Arts Ball 2003:
Posted: Tuesday, November 04, 2003

"Winter Enchantment"

Women’s Service League of Ashtabula County invites you to the 40th Annual Theatre Arts Ball, to be held Saturday, December 6th, at the Ashtabula Country Club.

This year entitled “Winter Enchantment,” the ball kicks off with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m.

Back by popular demand this year is the band Intense. They will provide music for dancing beginning at 9:00 p.m.

As in years past, a silent auction featuring many items from area businesses and individuals will be held throughout the evening, with bidding beginning at the start of the ball.

Tickets for the ball are $150 per couple. Patron tickets are available at $175 per couple, and Grand Patron tickets are $200 per couple.

Co-chairpersons for this year’s event are Kim Coxon and Joslin Seeds.

The Theatre Arts Ball is the largest annual fundraising project held by the Women’s Service League, a non profit organization with a mission to promote the social, economic, cultural and intellectual development of Ashtabula County.

Money raising projects for WSL have expanded over the years to include the addition of new programs, scholarships, financial assistance and physical expansion of the Arts Center. Under the guidance of the Special Gifts and Special Allocations committees, gifts to the Ashtabula Arts Center have included an outdoor art sculpture, musical equipment, tools, computer programs and audiovisual equipment.

In addition, the WSL program has included donations to other arts-related organizations including Shea Public Auditorium, Art Education of Ashtabula Public Schools, Ashtabula Chamber Orchestra, Ashtabula Society for the Handicapped, and Happy Hearts School.

Reservations for the ball are required, and should be in no later than November 21. Contact Kim Coxon at 998-3393, or Joslin Seeds at 593-0213 to make your reservations.
