2928 West 13th St. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 phone: 440-964-3396 Search This Site: Regatta for the Arts: Posted: Tuesday, July 06, 2004 The 17th annual Regatta for the Arts, an annual fundraiser held by Ashtabula Yacht Club to benefit the Ashtabula Arts Center, was held on Sunday, June 20th. More than $5000 was raised as a result of the event. Sailing under sunny skies and perfect summer temperatures, this year's Regatta featured 23 boats on a course from Ashtabula to Geneva-on-the-Lake and back. The Regatta is the only fundraiser conducted by the AYC. Area businesses and individuals made monetary contributions to sponsor boats in the race, with the proceeds wholly benefiting the Arts Center. Overall the winner of the event was the "Revolution III," skippered by Jim Lengyl and sponsored by Sutherland Marine.
