Why not come down to the Arts Center for another one of our fun and imaginative Kids Days Out! This event will be held Monday, February 16, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Entitled "Great Artists Time Travelers," this event will allow kids to start in the 1900s and travel back in time to ancient Egypt, visiting great artists and creating artwork along the way. - Paint like Jackson Pollock and Keith Haring. - Make mobiles like Alexander Calder. - Travel to Egypt and create a cartouche. - Learn to create handpainted textiles from India. - Listen to a story and create a picture like a famous book illustrator. - Make a Roman style mosaic. ... and so much more! Visual Arts Coordinator Meeghan Humphrey will keep kids busy all day painting, sculpting, drawing and having a great time. This event is intended for kids in grades 1 - 6. Cost is $30 per child, which includes all materials. Kids just need to pack a lunch and dress to get messy! Registration is required, and can be done by calling the Arts Center.
