Martha Blair Pastel Workshop
“Animal Portraits”
Saturday, September 24th
9:30am-3:30pm
$35 Non-Members/$31.50 Members (Payment required at registration)

Students in this class will complete a portrait in either charcoal or pastels. Blair will guide students in a quick sketch for a warm-up. This will be followed by laying out the drawing on pastel paper and completed in either charcoal or pastels. Demonstration and guidance will be provided throughout the class.

This can be done on a color copier or on a computer. Other materials: drawing board or easel, charcoal and conte pencils in brown and white, colored pastel or charcoal paper, a gentle eraser, and pastels. If you do not have all of these things, the instructor has lots of pastels and is willing to share with students. The Arts Center has drawing boards, easels and a selection of pastels also. If this is your first pastel class, we will lend you what you don't have and paper is available for purchase from the instructor.
