THE GOOD LIFE SINGS INTO SPRING:
|
Posted: Tuesday, March 02, 2004
Get set for spring with the Good Life’s annual spring concert! Entitled “A Century of Song,” this year’s concert will take audience members on a musical reminiscence of the 20th Century.
The group has chosen a selection of songs to represent each decade. They will “Rock Around the Clock,” ride the “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” and even have “Memories” “Somewhere Out There.” They believe that “From a Distance” they can fly us to a “Whole New World.” They’ll say “Bye Bye Love” and “Ain’t She Sweet.” And maybe they’ll even take that “Bridge Over Troubled Water” “Over There” to that “Sea of Love.”
In all, this concert will take audience members on a trip down memory lane, through the use of songs from as early as the year 1900, to those songs new to us just last year. Over 50 songs from the past century will make up this musical tribute to days gone by.
“A Century of Song” will take the stage at the Arts Center for two performances, Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17. Both shows are at 7:30 p.m.
Advance sale tickets are $7 Adults and $6 Seniors. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of the show for $8 Adults and $7 Seniors.
