You won’t want to miss the funny and quirky tale “Little Mary Sunshine” which was one of the most successful off Broadway stage shows. Borrowing liberally from the 1924 operetta "Rose Marie" and the 1936 Jeanette McDonald-Nelson Eddy film of the same name, “Little Mary Sunshine” played to packed houses in Greenwich Village for almost three years and won every award for its score and enchanting performance. Never heard of it? Think brave Canadian Mounties, a pure-and-sweet damsel-in-distress and the song, "Indian Love Call," with its often parodied "When I'm calling yooo-oooo-oooo." Directed by Steve Rhodes of Conneaut, this fun family show is filled with deliberately corny songs and naive situations that poke fun at all the cliches of the innocent musicals our grandparents enjoyed. But it is done freshly and with flair and it quickly wins audiences with its brilliant fooling. Spend an evening with your family and friends at Straw Hat Theatre! Call for you tickets today!
