Do you enjoy preparing and serving meals for large groups of people? If so, the Arts Center and G.B. Community Theatre needs your help! G.B. Community Theatre will again be offering dinners before select shows of the upsoming season. We are looking for cooks and crews to prepare and serve meals of their choice for groups of 10-50 in the gallery of the Arts Center prior to performances. Dinners are usually held on Saturdays, with the meal being served at 6:30 p.m. Meals should include salad/soup or other appetizer, main course (usually chicken or beef, with rice/vegetables/potatoes, etc.) and dessert. Cooks will submit their menus and materials needed, and the Arts Center will reimburse or purchase food once a reservation count is received. A simple meal is best, as there is usually a mix of people at these events. The limit per plate is $7.00 or less for the complete meal. There is always a possibility that a dinner you sign up for may be cancelled; it all depends on the amount of reservations. We request that all reservations for the dinner be in by noon on the Thursday prior to the event, so as to obtain an accurate count. If there are not enough people, the dinner will have to be cancelled. Currently the dates we still need to fill for the upcoming dinners are Saturday, March 29th, 2003 (for the production of "Laughter on the 23rd Floor"), and the dinner theater production (still yet to be named) on Friday, February 14th, 2003. All other dates have been filled at this time. If you are interested in cooking, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Sally VanAllen by calling the Arts Center at 964-3396, or via e-mail at volunteers@artscenternews.com. Even if you cannot fill the available dates, but would like to be considered for later dinners next year, you may still want to contact Sally and let her know of your availability and willingness to help.
