Volunteer News and Notes:
Posted: Wednesday, December 10, 2003

Happy Holidays! It’s hard to believe the year 2003 has passed us by already. But what a year it was for us at the Arts Center, as we spent the year commemorating our 50th anniversary. From the open house back in March, to the production of “Encore!” on stage in October, we certainly has fun planning and arranging these special activities. It was a great chance to not only celebrate the history of the Arts Center, but also look forward to the future - and hopefully another 50 years as special as this past one.

Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who helped not only with the anniversary activities this year, but in all of our “normal” programming as well. Kids days, theater shows, dinners ... no matter what the activity, if we asked for help, you answered the call. Thank you so much to everyone.

As most of you have probably heard by now, we have a new Volunteer Coordinator here at the Arts Center. Pamela Hammond joined us in November as our new Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator, and is quickly learning the ropes here at the Arts Center front desk. (You can find out more about her in the article in the "Happenings" section of the website!) Please feel free to stop in sometime to say hello and talk with her about what activities you would like to help with at the Arts Center!
