VOLUNTEER NEWS AND NOTES:
Posted: Tuesday, October 26, 2004

By Pamela Hammond

Thanks so much to everyone who took time out of their hectic holiday schedule to volunteer! The holidays are a busy time of year at the Arts Center as they are for most of you and your families. But despite the burdens of extra shopping, baking, gift wrapping, decorating and other seasonal chores, our volunteers found the time to come through for us yet again. Thank you so much!

The role our volunteers play is invaluable. A volunteer is sometimes the first person our customers have contact with. It is your smile and friendly words that we so often count on to make those people using the Arts Center both happy to be here and anxious to come back again.

Volunteering is a great way to meet people and make new friends. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with many of you over the last year and it is always your company that makes my own volunteer experiences such fun! You will soon have a new Volunteer Coordinator calling to ask for your help. In early November, I took over the position of PR/Marketing Coordinator that was vacated by Stephanie Eames (Stephanie sends a warm ‘hello’ to all from her new job at Playhouse Square!). I’m sure that my replacement will have as much fun working with all of you as I did and I look forward to seeing you as we continue to volunteer together in the future!
