Thanks so much to everyone who took time out of their hectic holiday schedule to volunteer! The holidays are a busy time of year at the Arts Center as they are for most of you and your families. But despite the burdens of extra shopping, baking, gift wrapping, decorating and other seasonal chores, our volunteers found the time to come through for us yet again. As signs for back-to-school sales fill department store windows I cling desperately to the final days of summer, hoping to extend the season as long as possible. I’ve enjoyed woodland hikes, alfresco dinners with friends and a fabulous vacation to Hawaii. After a long winter and cool, wet spring, summer has finally arrived. Hooray! I am so thrilled to finally see warm weather that I don’t even mind that the grass needs constant mowing or that the weeds in my flowers need to be pulled every other day.
